ReMOD gallery has been busy little bees doing what we do best - turning drab to fab, duh. Our kitchen was in desperate need of a facelift.

Whoa ...that's bad right? We know, the horror! So what did we do you say... 

Well one can of paint, our fabulous intern and of course a little ReMOD magic later and... 

VOILA

Much better right? We thought so too. We still have more to add so stay tuned for our finishing touches. We promise you'll love them!

Want to give one of your rooms a "ReMOD"? It's easy. A can of paint can really change a room. Depending on the color it can create space and even change the mood. Remember, light colors give the illusion of more space and darker more saturated colors tend to make the room seem smaller. So, if your "ReMODing" a small space like us try and stick to a light airy color. 

Tip: We love turquoise. It's fresh and makes any room bright and modern. 

Another easy quick fix which we heart is chalkboard paint. Now, this is something that can easily look cheesy if done wrong so listen up. Don't go overboard with chalkboard paint. take a small focal point, like our hideous old refrigerator, give it a light layer primer and paint away. We recommend buying some chalkboard markers, E-bay has them for about $15.00. Next, wallpaper. How cool is wallpaper? We love it, especially vintage. Pick a small area to make your "wow factor". For us it was about 3 sq feet above our sink, backsplash if you will. If it's a larger space you will need to match the wallpaper up, not hard just remember measure twice cut once (Oh god, did I just quote my mom??). Anyway, once you measure it all out you might need to grab a friend it gets a little tricky with just two hands to put up. You can either get that glue stuff and apply it to the back or a look that I'm really into - - get some cool upholstery tacks and just pin it up. It gives it a really unique look and its much easier to put up, not to mention doesn't ruin you walls.
